THE DATA
21-DAY
WATER FAST

June 2025. Water only, twenty-one days, tracked the whole way through. Not for a video moment, because I wanted to know what my own body actually did when I stopped giving it anything to work with.

THE PATTERN

What Twenty-One Days Without Food Actually Does

Day one, fifteenth of June, 209 lbs, fourteen stone thirteen. Twenty-one days later, fifth of July, 181.8 lbs, twelve stone fourteen. Twenty-seven point two pounds gone. Almost straight down, nothing like the wobble in the seventy-day data.

Ketones told a clearer story than the scales did. GKI was 2.1 on day two. By day six it had dropped under one, and stayed between 0.3 and 0.7 for the rest of the fast, properly deep ketosis. Glucose eased down too, mid-seventies early on, settled into the mid-fifties by the back half.

Resting heart rate dropped from 66 bpm on day twelve to 58 by the end, no gym, no training (WMTWL-EVID-0123, WMTWL-EVID-0171). Twenty-one days. One direction. No detours.

Watch It Unfold, Day by Day

The numbers above are the summary. The daily entries, what day nine actually felt like, what I was thinking by the second week, live in Watch & Read. This page is the data. That’s the story.

One Person. Twenty-One Days. Documented.

This is N=1, me, my own data, nothing bigger than that. Twenty-one days without food is not a small thing to try, and I didn’t do it on a whim, . NHS bloods happened to fall either side of it, so there is a before and after. I didn’t clear it with anyone first though, and I wouldn’t tell you to do it that way. I can’t tell you it would look the same for you. What I can tell you is exactly what it looked like for me, all of it, above.

I stopped my own medications on my own initiative and told my GP afterwards — that’s not the approach I’m recommending. Every change since has been tracked with regular blood tests.
